About Williamstown Primary School

The school acknowledges the very strong sense of local history, family tradition and friendship networks which are unique to the area.

Mission Statement

The purpose of Williamstown Primary School is to provide a quality education in an environment, which allows all children to reach their individual potential.

To achieve this, the school has to:

  • educate all children to the best of their individual abilities, fostering a love of learning, inquiry and critical thinking within all learning areas
  • provide a quality curriculum in all learning areas
  • maximise individual literacy, numeracy and communication skills to provide a sound foundation for further learning
  • foster in children the development of positive attitudes and values in a social environment
  • provision of an environment which is secure, challenging and supportive
  • provision of quality resources and facilities to enhance learning
  • assess and evaluate its performance in all areas
  • shared responsibility for learning between parents, teachers and children
  • include parents in the life of the school in a meaningful way
