Project aim: Create a nature trail on the gardens in our school and create a guide for year 2 students who are studying “I Spy In My Garden.”

What we did and how we did it:

• Found out what plants were there
• We created worksheets on the different gardens for the year 2’s
• We used our existing knowledge about the gardens
• We learnt the name of each different garden and what special features was in each garden
• We talked with Alison our gardener at the school for help and research
• We talked to Ms Signora our Italian teacher to learn about the Italian Garden
• We talked to Kara and Susie to learn about the different features of each plant
• We decided to put in a seat in the garden and Shane helped to make it happen
• Drew pictures of each plant with the leaf and flower features on it in colour this became part of our sign labelling native plants.
• Wrote a description of each garden and 5 investigated questions for each gardens
• Took photos of the garden
