150th Celebration 1873-2023

150th Celebration Events & Activities

The school’s 150th Anniversary was a great opportunity to celebrate the school’s history and contribution to the local community.

Throughout the year the school hosted the following key events:

  • Friday 4th August - School community, Birthday Celebration Day.
  • Friday 18th August – 150 Celebration Gala, Williamstown Town Hall
  • Saturday 19th August – School Open Day for the open community.

To further support this milestone the school ran the following school activities:

  • Student photo competition
  • Taking of a 150 aerial drone photo of the school grounds and all students and staff
  • The production of a 150 History Book.
  • Distribution of commemorative pins and certificates to all students and staff

This page looks to acknowledge the amazing year it was, along with the outstanding work and support from our parent and local community, without whom these events and activities would not have occurred.

Of particular note, the school would like to acknowledge the work of the 6-member parent committee consisting of Nicole Paramanis, Amanda Kelly, Sarah Arlin, Amber Cassidy, Zeena Lateef and Kathy Knowles, who led the coordination of events and activities in partnership with the school.

Located on this page is the school’s 150th Celebration Documentary.

The school would like to acknowledge the outstanding work of Tony and Stina Dean in producing the school’s official documentary which captures the history of the school, its people, community and what it means to be a Willy Kid.
